We have a JD 3046R. It’s leaking what I assume to be hydraulic fluid from the circled area, where that hose connects to the metal bar that connects the front tires. Hubby and I are super new and not very mechanically inclined at all but he wants to replace it himself. Please explain like we’re babies. So I know to turn ignition on and move the joystick around a bit to release pressure before we start doing anything. Anything else I should do before? How do we stop more hydraulic fluid from leaking out while the hose is off? How to get underneath there without any sort of lift for the tractor? TIA!
