Starter replacement compatibility issue with nose cone angle

Multiple replacement starters (Wilson, DB Electrical, John Deere reman) have nose cones at different angles compared to original Hitachi starter, preventing proper installation. Nose cone opening hits flywheel during installation attempt.

John Deere 322 Starter Replacement

I have a Jone Deere 322, (1989-1990 I believe) with what I believe to be a bad starter. So far I have been through 3 replacement starters that are stated to be compatible on a 322, but so far all 3 of the new starters nose cones are on a different, but all similar angle to each other, than the original Hitachi starter that I removed and will not slide into position. It looks like the opening of the nose cone is hitting the flywheel. First starter was a Wilson Starter (WIL 91-25-1109) from O'reilly's Auto Parts, Second was from DB Electrical (49-5798 SHI0108), 3rd was a Re-man starter from John Deere (SE501846). I have pictures of the original Hilti starter and the John Deere Reman to show the difference.
