Do I need to use the clutch to shift gears in C range? (JD 4120 PowrReverser)
low

Funny story, I was watching a video of a different model tractor but same PowrReverser Transmission, I know you don't need to clutch switching between forward and backward, but this guy said you also don't shifting between Gear 1-4 in C range? Can I shift on the go, or do I still need to clutch?

low

we're going to be using this machine for moving large hay bales. it can lift them no problem but i'm wondering if it would be good for the front end to have some rear weights. thoughts?

4120 #20 Yellow fuse holder wiring issue.
low

John Deere 4120, this small fuse box holder, seems to of pulled (or melted, though appears unlikely) the negative wire from this fuse box (not sure of a proper term) I was checking on my battery today, because I seemed to of had a ground issue, seems to be fixed by adjusting and tightening the terminals, (seems to be, given the fact that I no longer get shocked by touching the loader when its running, and my parking brake light works again) but I noticed the negative wire had came off of this fuse **the fuse is a yellow #20** I'm wondering what this fuse is for, and if it has anything to do with my grounding issue, also, it appears to of been fixed before given the blue wrap on the negative wire around where it came apart (I inherited this tractor, so I don't have a detailed list, other than what younger me remembers) Any recommendations to fix it, additionally, is it something needing fixed urgently or can it be off for a while without much issue? https://preview.redd.it/ne86bxi0pkne1.png?width=1868&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4b14852943955ae33a6b4b14bb3c6a8cd4f1d75 Any help is muchly appreciated.

PTO Shaft on Brushhog
low

Hello all, I am attempting to get my PTO shaft on my brush hog fitted on my john deere 4120, I can't figure out why the hell it won't go on, I know its not the tractor because I fit my backhoe PTO all the time with no issue. This brush hog has sat out in the weather, and the pto fitting on it was rusted all to hell, but it slides on the pto shaft all the way up I just need another half a inch or so for it to "lock" in place. I've got plenty of lube on the tractor end, and I put some lube on the pto on the brushhog but to no avail. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
