Known Issues
Front lights flicker or strobe when low beams are on and engine is running. Lights work fine when key is on but engine is not running. Alternator was checked and confirmed fine. Issue suspected to be caused by vibration-induced bad ground or bare wires.
The front lights are flickering/strobing. They work fine when the key is on but the engine is not running. The alternator was checked and is fine. They strobe while low beams are on. The dimmer switch was replaced awhile back. I'm not an electrical person but I'm posting this for my boyfriend. He hasn't been able to find the problem. I'm assuming it could be caused by vibration while engine is running with a bad ground or bare wires but idk.
I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this, please let me know the right place if you know where I can find the best answers. It is a quad-range transmission, and it seems like it is hydraulic or transmission problem. After about an hour of use and the tractor has completely warmed up, I start to notice a loss of power shifting into gear to start moving again. At first it will just be slow in the higher gears like it's pulling a heavy load and will eventually speed up to the correct speed. After another few minutes of use it will get so bad that starting in 1A will only barely get the tractor moving at around 1500 RPM. I have also experienced some other issues like the steering locking while driving straight until I press the clutch (I can't turn the steering wheel either), and it seeming like I am popping the clutch and the tractor jerks forward into gear when I am operating the clutch normally. I have read around and tried to figure out what the problem might be and have tried replacing the hydraulic oil filter, cleaning the sump screen, and tried leaking the air out of the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic oil and all the screens have looked very clean. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem before and if they have any options they tried past replacing the hydraulic pump (which has no guarantee of fixing the problem.) Please let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions as to where I can look for answers. Thanks for any help you can offer!
