Known Issues
We have a JD4710 sprayer go down and I’m trying to find manuals so we can repair it. After searching through a bunch of questionable websites, I found one that seemed to be ok. I made and account and downloaded the manual (TM1861), but the link they provided was just a zip file that goes to nowhere. Are there any reputable sources to find these manuals? Should I call my credit card company and charge back from this website?
Does anyone know where the engine block coolant drain valve is on a john deere 4710 tractor is located?
Headed to look at a 4710 with loader, tractor looks immaculate from the pictures I’ve seen. Power reverser 4wd with 2400 hours. Only issue seller is stating is fuel guage doesn’t work. Asking price is $19,000 firm. Any advice on what to look for or check when I go to check it out? Thanks for any advice
Just wondering what everyone’s procedure is for warm up in cold weather. First snow of year that needed plowing here in Pa and temps single digits. Running jd 4710 with loader. Engine fires easily without running glow plugs and temp gauge is off the needle in 10 mins but what’s the best way to heat up the hydro oil. Pwr reverser btw. Thanks all
So in trying to use a MF4710 tractor that has open center hydraulics with a JD 7300 max emerge 2 vacuum planter. I've been reading a lot of info and kinda confused but I think I understand the general idea being that a bypass/modification of the hydraulic plumbing is needed as to not overwork the tractor's hydraulic pump due to not being able to control the flow to and from the pump and planter. Bypass line: bypass the tractor's hydraulic pump on the return line (rather than through the traditional port with the quick connection) directly into the reservoir via either the fill hole or a level check plug. Power beyond adapter or T connection to connect the supply and return lines: use pool This is to prevent an abrupt change in the oil pressure entering and leaving the pump when the vacuum part of the planter is shut off Is there anything wrong or that needs to be addressed in my understanding?
