Safety Recalls
On certain ATV's, the front brake hose could be pulled out of its retaining bracket on either side by foreign objects while riding vehicle. This could cause the brake hose to wear by rubbing on inner wheel and/or shock absorber spring seat, and ultimately cause a brake fluid leak resulting in a complete loss of front braking capacity. If this occurs, it could lead to an increase in the braking distance and possible collision with bystanders, a fixed object or another vehicle which may cause serious injuries or even death. Correction: Dealers will install retaining brackets to safely secure hose in place.

Known Issues
I bought this mower from Lowe's for my mother about 4 1/2 years ago. It worked great. A few days ago, the bearing assembly fell through the deck because all 4 mounting holes were wallowed out. No warning at all. John Deere claims it is because we hit something. The real problem is a design flaw. The bolt head flanges are too small to support the torque. I took it to the local dealer. They sent it
I paid $2,500 for a John Deere LA140 tractor that lasted only 200 hours (3 years) before the transmission went out. If you go online, you'll find John Deere had lots of problems with this tractor. How can I feel good about buying American even if it is a "Home Depot version" of a John Deere?
Delivered my new XUV 590i Gator 2 days ago. Swapped my new Gator 625I back in to the dealer that I only had for 3 weeks. The 625i lacked the light kits, power steering, and it was way too noisy. Dealer allowed me exactly what I had paid for the 625i. Tested the 590i and liked everything about it. Little smaller than the 625, power steering is great, helluva lot less noisy, goes 48 MPH, fancy wheel
John Deere 100 series lawn tractors - The problem is they put cheap rear ends in them and after paying over 2500.00 for this tractor the rear axle in all these tractor are failing after 250-300 hrs on them. John Deere WON'T replace them and you have to fork out 1200 to have a new one installed.
My John Deere LA175 has less than 150 hours on it. It has been a solid grass cutter for the past 2 years cutting my 2 acres. Out of the blue, I couldn't make it up a slight incline on my property. I called Lowes and as luck would have it, my warranty expired 2 months ago. They passed me on to John Deere. I spoke and gave all info to customer service. I was told to bring tractor to dealer to access
