I recently purchased a tractor from Porestio Brothers Equipment, in Colorado Springs, for $26,662.59! The very first time I used the tractor in my backyard to move dirt, THE TRACTOR FELL OVER ON TOP OF ME WHILE MAKING A SLIGHT LEFT TURN!! I was pinned underneath the tractor for at least an hour! Until the State Patrol and 8 firefighters came and had to use the jaws of life to lift the tractor! I s

Transmission failure with power steering loss and overheating
high

Late 1990s 6600 euro experienced complete transmission failure during road operation. Power steering cut out, rear end pulsed and overheated significantly. Inspection revealed bearing failure, clutch material, and spring debris in transmission fluid. Issue traced to internal bearing wear with excessive play (half inch).

Owner had two 2013 Z665 mowers requiring transaxle replacement (Part MIA12122/Tuff Torq 787Q0824030). First machine: 169 hours, $1,271 repair cost after warranty expiration. Multiple technicians confirmed transaxle should not fail at that usage level. Second machine now has same failure at 328 hours. Over 150 replacement orders found online, indicating widespread defect.

I have a John Deere Lx266 with less than 300 hrs on it. The trans won't drive and the dealers all say it can only be replaced, not serviced. I grew up using JD equipment, but it seems that these days JD only cares about profits instead of pride and integrity! I and my extended family (around 180 people) have agreed to NEVER buy another JD product for our homes, businesses, or farms. Further, we wi

What is this sensor?
low

I'm rebuilding a John Deere 2020 tractor (year 1966). When I took out the instrument panel, I found this cable which was not connected to any instruments. It runs down to the engine. It's 23" long. Looks like a sensor, but I can't find one on any of the tractor supply sites. Any ideas what this could be? The engine side of the cable is open, so I thought maybe it was a pressure or temperature sensor. The instrument side of the cable is a metal wrapped bundle of conductors. There are no instruments on the panel that are not connected. Bonus points if you know where to get one.
