What is this sensor?
low

I'm rebuilding a John Deere 2020 tractor (year 1966). When I took out the instrument panel, I found this cable which was not connected to any instruments. It runs down to the engine. It's 23" long. Looks like a sensor, but I can't find one on any of the tractor supply sites. Any ideas what this could be? The engine side of the cable is open, so I thought maybe it was a pressure or temperature sensor. The instrument side of the cable is a metal wrapped bundle of conductors. There are no instruments on the panel that are not connected. Bonus points if you know where to get one.

Antique tractor parts Hello all! My grandfather passed last year and I am cleaning out his shop. He was retired from farming— rented the land out. While “retired” he restored old tractors. Mainly Minneapolis moline, John Deere, case, International harvester. He had a bit of surplus money and almost 40 antique tractors at his peak. As such there are 10s maybe 100s of new: oil filters, misc engine gaskets, wiring harness. Some are able to be identified, some not. My question is if there is a way to effectively resell these. A pawn shop or something. I could do the eBay way but with so many filters and misc parts it would take some considerable time and effort to get it all sold as well as not having any real storage solutions. He had them Stacked in piles and on the floor all over the shop. About a 50,000 sq foot shop. I hate to throw it all away/ recycle but I am starting to think the cost of storing and the time spent listing and shipping would negate eBay selling benefits. Any one stop shop type places I could offload it?
