This recall involves Gator utility vehicles with model number XUV590E, XUV590M, or XUV590M S4 printed on the hood. "John Deere" and "Gator" are also printed on the cargo box. The recalled utility vehicles have side-by-side seating for two or four people and were sold in green and yellow, olive & black, or TrueTimber® Kanati® Camo colors. Gator RSX 860E purchased April 2020 for $9,000 proved unreliable from start with repeated repairs. November 2022 exhaust issue not resolved until April 2023—five-month wait. Equipment needed for livelihood. Exhaust subsequently failed again with burn injuries and falling parts.

Intermittent charging issues with battery warning light illuminating intermittently, disappearing when throttle is applied. Slow engine cranking observed. Battery and wiring verified as good. Suspected alternator or voltage regulator failure.
