I just changed the battery. The initial issue was the power was bogging down but after changing the battery because it wouldn’t start now it just clicks. There’s also a piece that looks like it should be connected to something and it is not. Can anybody help me with this problem

Hi, all! Newbie JD owner here. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but I just replaced the belt on my John Deere LA125 and suddenly can only turn right when steering. When turning the steering wheel left, it will make a 'click, click, click' sound like it's trying to catch, but the wheels won't move at all. However, turning right still works for the most part, but might click once or twice before engaging. Could I have missed a loop or something during the belt replacement or is this an entire separate issue requiring new parts? If the latter, do the symptoms sound like a specific part I need to replace? TIA for any & all suggestions!
