CA: Kubota Review by ron from New Waverly, TX (1/5 stars) DO NOT BUY ONE
medium

DO NOT BUY ONE. IT'S NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I purchased a new Kubota RTV900 Diesel 4-wheel Drive. Paid about $4000.00 more than other models/brands because I thought I was getting a higher quality machine. Don't waste your money. I am retired... 37 years auto and heavy equipment repair. What Kubota has done is make the parts on the RTV to fail. They do not put grease fittings in their U-joints, do n

D902 cylinder head cracks in precombustion chambers
medium

D902 engine cylinder head removed from 2008 RTV900 with 3200 hours exhibits cracks in precombustion chambers. Vehicle was losing approximately one tablespoon of coolant per hour of operation with no oil contamination in coolant and no coolant in oil, and no white smoke observed.

Kubota rtv900 starts with a jump, but not on it's own battery.

Battery IS good. it runs our other rtv900 perfectly fine, but when put into the machine that's having issues starting, it won't work. so im convinced it's the machine, not the battery (unless im still mistaken somehow). I can jump start it from a jump pack or from a vehicle, and it runs great. however, if i disconnect the jump while its running, the key cannot turn the kubota off. (it turns off fine if the jump is still connected) My guess is an electrical issue (grounding issue?) somewhere down the line, but im not sure where to start. any ideas?

Best snow mover I’ve had!
low

My Kubota RTV900 with a boss V plow is exceptional. It’s better than my F350 because of the short wheel base, more aggressive tires and shorter turn radius. Here’s my problem: It’s been cold this year. I put a windshield on which breaks the wind, but what else can I do? I’ve seen electric heaters, vinyl doors and heaters that hook up to the coolant. Who’s done these mods and what worked the best? I’m skeptical of the coolant heater since it’s diesel and I doubt with the temperatures we’ve been dealing with (5F), that the engine will heat up enough to provide heat. Will the heater do much without doors? Thoughts? Help!
